WWII Armores Tool Kit

In a quest to build a WWII Armores Tool Kit, for the purpose of a Living History Display as well as owning the entire 3rd-5th Echelon Tool Set for the Small Arms Armorer work that I perform, I began collecting all the necessary items per FM XXX about 2017 or so. After finding the 3rd Echelon Tool Box, the game was on. Slowly I have been finding the various parts along the way, mostly in antique stores and garage sales. When and where the specifications of tools are different from the WWII spec tools, the newer and more appropriate gages are selected. Though they are display items primarily, they will be used for actual M1 work and must by necessity, conform with the most up-to-date specifications. Therefore, some of the tools are later vintage than the WWII counterparts.

I began my quest by a close review of TM 9-1005-222-12P/1 (July 1961). The manual clearly states which tools were issued to each of the five (5) Echelon Level Small Arms Maintenance Departments.
